Hassan Afif YahyaAl Yafei (Somali:Xasan Cafiif,Arabic:حسن عفيف; born 20 December 1956)[3] is afootball manager and former footballer. Born in Tanzania, he played for theSomalia national team.
Afif played forSimba in Tanzania andHorseed inSomalia,[1][2][3][4] before moving to Qatar and playing forAl Ittihad. He was later naturalized as a Qatari citizen.
He played internationally for theSomalia national team.[1][2][3][4]
After he retired as a player, he managed Al Gharafa from 1986 till 1987 and Al Markhiya from 2001 till 2003 and again in 2006 and 2007.[5][6]
Born inMoshi, Tanzania, Afif was raised in Somalia. He comes from theYafa' tribe.[1][2][3]
He has six children with his wife, Fayza, from Yemen. His sonsAli andAkram are also footballers. They representedQatar in the international level.[7][8]
