Location

Harskirchen lies in the valley of theRiver Saar in the extreme northwest of the cultural and historical region ofAlsace. TheCanal des houillères de la Sarre, which connects theCanal de la Marne au Rhin inGondrexange to the canalized Sarre inSarreguemines, passes through the commune, west of the village centre.

The Lutheran church dates from the eighteenth century and is decorated in theBaroque style, while the nineteenth-century Catholic church is distinguished by itsneo-Gothic tower.
