Harold Wallbanks (27 July 1921 – April 1993), sometimes known asChoppy Wallbanks,[2] was an English professionalfootballer who played as aright half in theFootball League forFulham,Southend United andWorkington.[1] He played as a guest forSunderland during theSecond World War.[3][4]

Wallbanks' brothersFred,John,Horace andJimmy also became footballers.[5] He worked as aminer inNorthumberland during theSecond World War.[3]
