Harry John Manenti (born 5 October 2000) is anItalian-Australiancricketer who plays forAdelaide Strikers and theItaly national cricket team. He made hisBig Bash League debut on 15 January 2025 againstSydney Sixers.

Career

Described as an all-rounder,[1] Manenti hit consecutive sixes in the final of the Australian National Premier t20 cricket competition in 2020, to help his Sydney team beat Adelaide University.[2] In March 2022 he completed his first season playing club cricket forNew Town Cricket Club and was awarded the Emerson Rodwell Medal as the men's first grade player of the year.[3]

He made his debut for theItaly national cricket team in July 2022.[4] The following month he hit his first century for Italy, scoring 106 against Hong Kong.[5]

In June 2023, he was selected as part of theSouth Australia cricket team pathway squad.[6] He also joined the Adelaide-basedWest Torrens Cricket Club.[7]

He signed forBig Bash League sideAdelaide Strikers in December 2024.[8] He made his2024-25 Big Bash League season debut on 15 January 2025 againstSydney Sixers. He was presented his cap pre-game by his brother Ben, who plays for the Sixers.[9]

Personal life

His brotherBen Manenti is a professional cricketer.[10] Their fatherJohn Manenti was arugby union player and now coach who won the 2014 premiership as coach ofEastwood Rugby Club and played 150 games at prop and hooker withWestern Suburbs andSydney University Football Club.[11] In 2018, he became the coach of theAustralia women's national rugby sevens team.[12]
