
Hardaliye is alactic acid Turkish drinkfermented beverage produced fromgrapes, crushedmustard seeds,sour cherry leaves, andbenzoic acid. It is an indigenous drink of theTrakya region ofTurkey insoutheastern Europe.[1][2]
A 2013 study showed that the ingestion of hardaliye had anantioxidant effect in adults.[3]
Hardaliye's nutritional value comes from the grapes as well as the fermentation process. Health benefits of hardaliye can be attributed to etheric oils from the mustard seeds.[4]
