Hanuman Tok is aHindu temple complex which is located in the upper reaches ofGangtok, the capital of theIndian state ofSikkim. The temple is dedicated to lordHanuman, and maintained by theIndian army. It was established in 1952.[1]
According to the local legends, whenHanuman was flying toDunagiri (mountain) which had the life saving herbSanjeevani to saveLord Rama's brotherLakshmana, he rested in the spot for some time where his temple now lies.
