Hannah Ewings (born 17 March 2004) is anAustralian rules footballer for theAdelaide Football Club in theAustralian Football League Women's (AFLW) competition.[1][2] She was drafted toPort Adelaide and won theAFL Women's Rising Star andclub best and fairest award before she was traded to the Crows following the 2024 season.[3]
Ewings was raised inWhyalla, South Australia and began playing junior football with Roopena and SMOSH West Lakes junior football club in South Australia before playing senior football withNorth Adelaide in theSouth Australian National Football League.[4]
Ewings was taken withPort Adelaide’s first selection in the2022 draft (number 3 overall) and played all 10 games in her debut season. She won theAFL Women's Rising Star award[5] and wonPort Adelaide Best and fairest.[6] Ewings also won Port Adelaide’s Best First Year Player award and was the Power's equaltop goalscorer in the club's debut AFLW season.
Following a quiet2023 in which Ewings played 8 of a possible 10 games, she took personal leave for the2024 season.[7] She was traded to cross-town rivalsAdelaide in the2024 trade period.[3]
