Hanna-Barbera Studios Europe Ltd. (also known asGreat Marlborough Productions[1]), formerlyCartoon Network Development Studio Europe andCartoon Network Studios Europe, is a Britishanimation studio headquartered inLondon, England, and owned bythe UK division ofWarner Bros. International Television Production, a subsidiary of theWarner Bros. Discovery International, ultimately owned byWarner Bros. Discovery. The studio is theEMEA production arm ofCartoon Network Studios, and was founded on 18 September 2007.[2][3][4]

On 7 April 2021,WarnerMedia announced it had rebranded the studio to Hanna-Barbera Studios Europe,[2] in honor of theoriginal Hollywood-based studio and its co-foundersWilliam Hanna andJoseph Barbera.[5] The Hanna-Barbera name had previously been revived on certainWarner Bros. Animation productions based on the classic franchises, including the fifth through thirteenthScooby-Doo direct-to-video animated films,The Jetsons & WWE: Robo-WrestleMania! and the2017 reboot ofWacky Races.

The first projects greenlit under the studio's new name were a film and a new series based onThe Amazing World of Gumball, the latter of which ultimately became the seventh season of the original show and was titledThe Wonderfully Weird World of Gumball.[6]
