Hanleya is a genus ofpolyplacophoranmolluscs known from Oligocene andMiocene fossils;[1] it is represented today by a number of species includingH. sinica Xu 1990 (China),[2][3]H. brachyplax (Brazil)[4][5] andH. hanleyi Bean in Thorpe, 1844 (Chile), which feeds on sponges.[6]
