Halfway House Estate is a suburb ofMidrand,South Africa. It is located in Region A of theCity of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality.
It is a suburb approximately 27 km north ofJohannesburg and 18 km north-west ofKempton Park. It was laid out in 1890 and called thus because it was the stop halfway between Johannesburg andPretoria for theZeederberg coach service.[2]
