Hala (Arabic:حله) is a village in southernSyria, administratively part of theRif Dimashq Governorate, located northeast ofDamascus in theQalamoun Mountains. Nearby localities includeMa'loula andYabroud to the northeast,Hosh Arab,Rankous andAssal al-Ward to the northeast andJayroud andal-Qutayfah to the east. According to theSyria Central Bureau of Statistics, Hala had a population of 3,921 in the 2004 census.[1]
