HD 223229 is a suspectedvariable star in the northernconstellation ofAndromeda. It is adouble star consisting of a magnitude 6.11 primary and a magnitude 8.73 companion. The pair have anangular separation of 0.80 along aposition angle of 250°, as of 2009.[8] The primary is a B-typesubgiant star with astellar classification of B3IV.[3] It has an estimated 6.3 times the mass of the Sun, with aneffective temperature of 17,900 K.[5]
