Hari Krishan Dua (born 1 July 1937)[1] is anIndian journalist, diplomat, and nominated member of theRajya Sabha.
Dua was the editor of theHindustan Times from 1987–94, editor-in-chief ofThe Indian Express from 1994–96, and editor ofThe Tribune from 2003–09. During his time at theIndian Express, Dua was adjudged the 'media person for 1994' byIndia Media, an organization to promote mass communication.[2] FromMay 10, 2001 toMay 26, 2003 he served as India's Ambassador toDenmark. From February 2008 to November 2009 he was member of theNational Security Council.[1]
Dua was awarded thePadma Bhushan in 1998.[3] He was nominated by theUPA Government to the Rajya Sabha in November 2009, with his term expiring in November 2015.
