Gus Warr (born 24 September 1999) is aScotland internationalrugby union player who plays as ascrum-half forSale Sharks inPremiership Rugby.[1]
He started playing rugby atWinnington Park RFC aged six before moving to Bowdon RUFC at thirteen.[2] He played school rugby atTarporley High School before moving toEllesmere College at fourteen.[3] He joined the Sale Academy aged 14.[2] He moved toDollar Academy forsixth form.[2][3] In September 2018 he made his Premiership debut for Sale againstHarlequins at theStoop at 18.[2]
He represented Scotland at age grade level (18,19 and 20s)[3] and then competed forEngland Under-20 againstScotland in the final round of the2019 Six Nations Under 20s Championship.[4]
In June 2024 Warr was called up to the senior Scotland squad for a tour of The Americas.[5]
He made hisScotland debut againstCanada on 6 July 2024 atTD Place Stadium in Ottawa. Scotland won the match 73 points to 12. Warr has the Scotland no. 1222.
