Gulbahar Colony, known asGolimar, is a suburb ofKarachi. This area is along theLyari River and was mainly farmland before the settlement ofMuslim refugees after the independence ofPakistan. There are several ethnic groups in Gulbahar includingUrdu speakers,Sindhis,Kashmiris,Seraikis,Pakhtuns,Punjabis,Balochs,Memons.Ismaili Shia Muslims are present in large number in Gulbahar.
