TheGuaita, also known as theRocca (Italian: "La Rocca") is one ofthree towered peaks overlooking thecity of San Marino, the capital ofSan Marino. The other two areCesta andMontale.

The fortress is the oldest of the three towers constructed onMonte Titano, and the most famous. It was built in the 11th century and served briefly as a prison.

It is depicted on both thenational flag andcoat of arms.

It is registered as aWorld Heritage Site since 2008.[1][2]
