Grand Slam Mexico was a 2025professional wrestlingtelevision special produced by the American companyAll Elite Wrestling (AEW) in partnership with the Mexican promotionConsejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL). It was the sixthGrand Slam and took place on June 18, 2025, atArena México inMexico City,Mexico. The event airedlive as aspecial episode ofWednesday Night Dynamite,simulcast onTBS andMax in the United States andFox Sports Mexico in Mexico, and it had a special runtime of 2.5 hours instead ofDynamite's normal two hours. This marked AEW's first televised event in the country and was the first time Grand Slam was held twice in one calendar year, followingGrand Slam Australia in February.

Six matches were held at the event. In the main event,The Beast Mortos,Death Riders (Jon Moxley andWheeler Yuta), andThe Young Bucks (Matthew Jackson andNicholas Jackson) defeatedThe Opps (Samoa Joe,Powerhouse Hobbs, andKatsuyori Shibata),Swerve Strickland, andWill Ospreay in a10-man tag team match. In other prominent matches, CMLL'sMístico defeated AEW'sMJF,Kazuchika Okada defeatedMark Briscoe, and AEW'sMercedes Moné defeated CMLL'sZeuxis to win theCMLL World Women's Championship.

Grand Slam Mexico took place at the historicArena México inMexico City, Mexico, which is owned and operated byAll Elite Wrestling's Mexican partner promotion and co-producers of the event,Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre.

Grand Slam is aprofessional wrestlingtelevision special produced by the American promotionAll Elite Wrestling (AEW) since 2021. From its inception until 2024, the event was held annually in late September at theArthur Ashe Stadium in theNew York City borough ofQueens. It also originally aired as a two-part special—from 2021 to 2023, it encompassed the broadcasts ofWednesday Night Dynamite andFriday Night Rampage, while in 2024, it aired asDynamite andSaturday Night Collision.[2][3][4] AEW then heldGrand Slam Australia in February 2025, which was the company's first event inAustralia and aired as a standalone special.[5]

On April 16, 2025, AEW scheduled a second Grand Slam event for the year to be held on June 18 atArena México inMexico City, marking the company's first televised event inMexico. Grand Slam Mexico was held in partnership with the Mexican promotionConsejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL), the owners and primary operators of Arena México. It airedlive as aspecial episode ofDynamite,simulcast onTBS and thestreaming serviceMax in the United States, andFox Sports Mexico in Mexico. Tickets went on sale on April 26 and sold out within 48 hours.[6][7] Grand Slam Mexico had a special runtime of 2.5 hours instead ofDynamite's regular two hours.[8]

Storylines

Grand Slam Mexico featuredprofessional wrestling matches that involved different wrestlers from pre-existing scripted feuds andstorylines. Storylines were produced on AEW's weekly television programs,Dynamite andCollision, as well as CMLL's weekly Friday night showSuper Viernes and other CMLL events.[9]
