Government College for Women, Thiruvananthapuram is apublic college situated inThiruvananthapuram,Kerala, India. Established in 1864 byAyilyam Thirunal, theMaharaja of Travancore, it is one of the oldest women's colleges in Kerala. Initially affiliated toUniversity of Madras, it is currently underUniversity of Kerala.
The college offers undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in arts and science affiliated to theKerala University. It has been accredited byNAAC with an A Grade.[1] The college is ranked 49th among colleges in India by theNational Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) in 2024.[2]
The college is recognized by theUniversity Grants Commission (UGC).
