Gouzeaucourt (French pronunciation:[ɡuzokuʁ]) is acommune in theNorddepartment in northernFrance.[3] It was the scene of fierce fighting duringWorld War I, and is mentioned in the poem "The Irish Guards" byRudyard Kipling. There are 916 casualties from several nations interred at the Gouzeaucourt New British Cemetery.[4]
