Gorbeus orGorbius orGorbeious (Ancient Greek:Γορβειοῦς), orCorbeus orKorbeous (Κορβεοῦς), was a city of theTectosages, inancient Galatia.[1][2] Gorbeus was the residence of Castor the son ofSaocondarius. Saocondarius married the daughter ofDeiotarus, who murdered his son-in-law and his own daughter, destroyed the castle, and ruined the greater part of Gorbeus. The name Corbeus occurs in theAntonine Itinerary and in theTabula Peutingeriana, but the latter is quite unintelligible. In the Antonine Itinerary, Corbeus is placed betweenAncyra, and a place calledRosologiacum, 20M. P. from Ancyra and 12 M. P. from Rosologiacum.
Its site is located nearOğulbey,Asiatic Turkey.[3][4]
