Goran Bogdan (born 2 October 1980) is a Croatian actor.[1] He has appeared in more than 40 films since 2005, including theAcademy Award-nominatedThe Man Who Could Not Remain Silent (2024).
He has appeared in some American and English films and TV series such as the 2012 filmGoltzius and the Pelican Company, and thethird season of the television seriesFargo. He starred in the 2015 TV seriesThe Last Panthers, alongsideSamantha Morton andJohn Hurt.
Goran Bogdan was born 2 October 1980 inLištica (today Široki Brijeg) inHerzegovina to ethnicCroatian parents. He graduated atFaculty of Economics and Business ofUniversity of Zagreb, and started his acting career in The Zagreb Youth Theater. He later enrolled atAcademy of Dramatic Arts, from which he graduated in 2012.
In 2013, he was named the theatre actor of the year by the Teatar.hr Awards. For his role in theBranko Schmidt filmAgape, he won the 2017Vladimir Nazor Award for excellence in film.[2] His role in the 2020 filmOtac earned him universal acclaim and made history by becoming the first Croatian actor nominated at theEuropean Film Awards forBest Actor.[3][4]
He provided the voice of McBunny in the Croatian-language version ofGarfield 2.
He currently resides inZagreb,Croatia.
