Goethestraße is a luxuryshopping street in the city centre ofFrankfurt,Germany, located betweenOpernplatz (in the west) andBörsenstraße andGoetheplatz (in the east) in the district ofInnenstadt and within theOpera Quarter and the broadercentral business district known as theBankenviertel. It is a parallel street ofFreßgass and located in the immediate vicinity ofKaiserhofstraße. The street is Germany's third-busiest luxury shopping street.[2]
The street was constructed between 1892 and 1894 and named forJohann Wolfgang von Goethe.
Goethestraße is served by nearbyFrankfurt Hauptwache station (in the east) and theAlte Oper station of theFrankfurt U-Bahn (in the west).
