Godwin Attram (born 7 August 1980) is aGhanaian former professionalfootballer who played as aforward.[1]
Godwin began his career with home-based clubGreat Olympics in 1996. In 1998, he moved to Dutch clubPSV Eindhoven but did not feature in a single match. He was then transferred on loan toDanish clubSilkeborg IF where he played a total of 31 matches scoring 5 goals.[1]
After an unsuccessful time inNetherlands, he signed a contract withTunisian clubStade Tunisien.[2]
He then moved toSaudi Arabia where he played for giantsAl-Shabab and scored 47 goals in a total of three seasons. He also won the top-scorer award in the2006–07 season for scoring 13 goals.[3] He spent a brief period withAl-Hazm in 2008 scoring 4 goals.[1]
In 2008, he moved toUAE-based clubAl-Shaab[4] and scored 13 goals in the2008-09 season. Then he moved toHatta Club in 2009. In 2010, he signed a contract withAlexandria-based clubSmouha. He stayed there for two seasons scoring 11 goals. In 2012, he came back toSaudi Arabia and featured forHajer in fourteen matches. He scored the first and the only goal for theAl-Hasa-based club against the Asian giantsAl-Hilal FC. On 10 September 2013, he signed a contract withOman Professional League clubDhofar S.C.S.C.[5]
He represented theGhana national football team in2006 African Cup of Nations wearing the number 12 jersey. He played in ten international matches and scored one goal for the national team.
Attram founded alongPiet de Visser in the Spring 2010, the Football AcademyAttram De Visser Soccer Academy based inSowutuom.[6] In January 2020, he was appointed as the assistant coach to Ibrahim Tanko for theGhana A' national football team.[7][8] After serving in that role for 5 months, in April 2020 he was moved to theGhana national under-23 football team to serve as the assistant coach along withYusif Basigi toPaa Kwesi Fabin.[9]
