Go Joo-won (Korean: 고주원; born October 16, 1981), birth nameGo Young-chul, is a South Korean actor. He made his acting debut in the 2003 boxing seriesPunch, followed by a supporting role in the revenge-themedResurrection (2005).[3] In 2006, Go became a household name after appearing in the popular family dramasBizarre Bunch andFamous Chil Princesses.[4][5] He then played historical figures in twoperiod dramas—KingSeongjong of Joseon inThe King and I (2007),[6][7] and Ijinashi, the first king ofDaegaya inKim Su-ro, The Iron King (2010).[8] Go also starred in themedical dramaOB/GYN (also known asObstetrics and Gynecology Doctors, 2010),[9][10] and another family dramaYou Are the Best! (2013).[11]
