Glycosylamines are a class of biochemical compounds consisting of aglycosyl group attached to anamino group, -NR2. They are also known as N-glycosides,[1] as they are a type ofglycoside. Glycosyl groups can be derived fromcarbohydrates. The glycosyl group and amino group are connected with aβ-N-glycosidic bond, forming a cyclichemiaminal ether bond (α-aminoether).
Examples includenucleosides such asadenosine.
