Northwestern region of the world
The Global Northwest in 1996 according to Samuel Huntington.

TheGlobal Northwest constitutesEurope (sometimes considered to only includeWestern Europe)[1] and theWestern countries ofNorth America with Western countries inOceania sometimes included.[2][3][4][5]

Much of modern scholarship around various topics has centered on the Global Northwest, to the detriment of understanding other parts of the world.[3][6]
