Glengarry is a town in theGippsland region ofVictoria, Australia. The town is located in theCity of Latrobelocal government area, 165 kilometres (103 mi) south east of the state capital,Melbourne. At the2016 census, Glengarry had a population of 1084.[2]
Glengarry was established after therailway arrived fromTraralgon in 1883.The Post Office opened on 1 January 1884 as La Trobe Railway Station and was renamed Glengarry in December of that year.[3]
The town has anAustralian Rules football team competing in theNorth Gippsland Football League.
