Glayva

Glayva is aliqueur originally produced in 1947 inLeith,Edinburgh, Scotland by Ronald Morrison & Co Ltd and now byWhyte and Mackay Ltd.[1][2]

Glayva is made from a blend of agedScotch whiskies, a selected range of spices, Mediterraneantangerines,cinnamon,almonds andhoney. It has a deep golden colour and a distinctive flavour.

History

Glayva was first produced and sold in 1947 bywine and whisky merchant Ronald Morrison.[3] LikeDrambuie, its ingredients include honey and spices mixed with Scotchmalt whisky. The name originates from a Gaelic phrase, "Glè Mhath", meaning "very good".[4]
