Gje (orDshe) (Ѓ ѓ; italics:Ѓ ѓ) is a letter of theCyrillic script.

Ѓ is used inMacedonian to represent thevoiced palatal plosive/ɟ/.[1]

Ѓ is most commonly romanised using the Latin letter G withacute⟨ǵ⟩. When theSocialist Republic of Macedonia was part ofSFR Yugoslavia, the Macedonianѓ (ǵ) was also transliterated asđ,ģ,gj, ordj.

Words with this letter are often cognate withЖд жд (Zhd zhd) inBulgarian andЂ ђ /Đ đ inSerbo-Croatian.[2] For example, the Macedonian word forbirth (раѓање israǵanje, which in Bulgarian isраждане -razhdane, and inSerbianрађање -rađanje).
