"Give Us the Ballot" is a 1957 speech byMartin Luther King Jr. advocating voting rights forAfrican Americans in theUnited States. King delivered the speech at thePrayer Pilgrimage for Freedom gathering at theLincoln Memorial inWashington, D.C., on May 17.[1]
