Gilbertus Happart (also recorded asGillis orGilbert Happart) was a seventeenth-centuryDutch missionary toFormosa (now known asTaiwan). He was stationed in the village of Favorlang (modern-dayHuwei) and wrote a dictionary of theFavorlang language of the inhabitants.[2]
