TheGhanchi (Gujarati:ઘાંચી,Hindi:घांची,Urdu:گھانچی) orGhanchi-Pinjara are a Muslim community found in the states ofGujarat andRajasthan in India.[1][2] A small number[contradictory] of Ghanchi are also found in the city ofKarachi in Pakistan.[citation needed]
The city ofKarachi inPakistan is home to a large community of Ghanchis. Many are settled in the locality ofGhanchi Para, as well as other parts ofSaddar Town inKarachi.[citation needed]
