Gerome Daren Sapp (born February 8, 1981) is an American former professionalfootball player who was asafety in theNational Football League (NFL). He was selected by theBaltimore Ravens in the sixth round of the2003 NFL draft. He playedcollege football for theNotre Dame Fighting Irish.
Sapp attended Lamar High School where he was an All-American and was in theUSA Today for the 100 top football players in his class.[1] He participated in the Texas vs. California High School Football All-Star game.
Sapp attended theUniversity of Notre Dame, and finished hiscollege football career with 155tackles, 3fumble recoveries and 5INTs, adding 9passes defended and 1 forced fumble.
Sapp was selected in the2003 NFL draft by theBaltimore Ravens and would later play for theIndianapolis Colts before going back to Baltimore.[2] Through his career, Sapp had 111 tackles.
