TheGermany Foundation (German:Deutschland-Stiftung) was anational conservative German organisation associated with theChristian Democratic Union andChristian Social Union, that existed from 1966 to 2007. It was founded inRosenheim inBavaria and incorporated in 1967. The organisation was founded by authorKurt Ziesel after a visit toKonrad Adenauer, who became its firsthonorary president.[1] From 1967 to 2001 the foundation awarded theKonrad Adenauer Prize and published the magazineDeutschland-Magazin. The foundation was viewed as an organisation of the conservative faction withinCDU/CSU, and was staunchlyanti-communist.
The foundation dissolved because of a lack of funds.
