During theFascist rule in Italy, agerarca (Italian:member of a hierarchy, plural:gerarchi) was a higher officer of theNational Fascist Party (PNF).
The highestgerarchi, up to the Federal Secretary, were members of the National Council of the PNF and of theChamber of Fasces and Corporations. The secretary and members of the National Directorate of the PNF were members of theGrand Council of Fascism.
ARas (from thehomonymous Ethiopian title) was agerarca dominating in one province. So, for example,Italo Balbo was theRas of Ferrara, andRoberto Farinacci theRas of Cremona.
