Georgetown is acensus-designated place (CDP) inWilkes-Barre Township,Luzerne County,Pennsylvania, United States, adjacent to the city ofWilkes-Barre. The CDP population was 1,640 at the 2010 census.[1]

According to theUnited States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 0.73 square miles (1.9 km2), all land. Georgetown occupies most of the southwestern half of Wilkes-Barre Township and is bisected byI-81/PA 309. Exit 165 of I-81 is located at the southwestern edge of the CDP. The city ofWilkes-Barre is to the northwest.
It is in theWilkes-Barre Area School District.[3]
