George M. Gosman (October 19, 1893 – September 1, 1981) was an American politician. He served aslieutenant governor of Montana from 1953 to 1957.
Gosman was born inLima, Montana,[3] the son of Annie and Otto Gosman, asheriff inBeaverhead County, Montana. He attended theUniversity of Montana[2] and served in theUnited States Army duringWorld War I.[3]
Gosman served in theMontana Senate from 1945 to 1951.[3]
In 1952, Gosman was elected to theMontana lieutenant governorship, succeedingPaul C. Cannon. He served until 1957, when he was succeeded by Cannon.[4]
Gosman died in September 1981 inDillon, Montana,[3] at the age of 87.[2]
