Gebe is anisland inMaluku Islands,[dubious –discuss]Indonesia. Administratively it is part ofCentral Halmahera,North Maluku.
The island is part of a small island group which also include Fau island, Yoi, Uta, and Sain.
Gebe is part of theHalmahera rain forests ecoregion. TheGebe cuscus (Phalanger alexandrae), an arborealmarsupial, is endemic to the island.
