Gaza: Doctors Under Attack (formerly known asGaza: Medics Under Fire) is a 2025 documentary on doctors working during theGaza war, detailing thekillings and torture of healthcare workers andattacks on hospitals by theIsrael Defence Forces (IDF) during the conflict. It was produced by Basement Films and aired onChannel 4, which picked it up after theBBC dropped it from its broadcast.

Release

Originally due to be broadcast in February 2025 by theBBC and cleared for broadcast, the film underwent an internal review by the BBC due to alleged politically sensitive material.[1][2][3][4] Over 600 prominent figures signed an open letter calling the delay "political suppression" and demanding the release of the film.[5][6]

In June 2025, the BBC announced that it would not air the documentary because of what it described as impartiality concerns, and announced it would instead transfer ownership of the film to its producers, Basement Films, allowing it to be released.[7]

On 28 June 2025, it was announced thatChannel 4 would air the documentary on 2 July 2025.[8] The film was released globally on the same day byZeteo.[9]

Reception

Stuart Heritage ofThe Guardian wrote that the film is a "work that demands to be seen."[10]
