Gavar (also known as Gawar, Gouwar, Gauar, Rtchi, Kortchi, Ma-Gavar) is anAfro-Asiatic language spoken inCameroon in theFar North Region.[1]

Gavar is spoken most of Gavar canton, through which theMayo-Gawar River flows, and inGadala in the southeast ofMokolo commune (Mayo-Tsanaga Department, Far North Region).[2]
