Thegazzosa al caffè is a typicalCalabrese soft drink, combiningcarbonated water andcoffee.[1]

History

The first coffee soda was distributed, with the name of "Bibicaffè", by the company "De Sarro & Torchia" ofNicastro (now part ofLamezia Terme) in 1941.[2] Nowadays the most widespread brands areBrasilena fromGirifalco and MokaDrink fromCosenza.

Diffusion

Todaygazzosa al caffè is exported all over the world, mainly to theUnited States.[1]
