Gas Monkey Live was[2] an Americanmusic venue inDallas,Texas, owned byRichard Rawlings, star of American television programFast N' Loud and owner of both Gas Monkey Garage andGas Monkey Bar N' Grill.
On October 11, 2014, Rawlings, Alex Mendonsa (who ran theHouse of BluesLas Vegas),[3] talent buyer Peter Ore (former Vice President of TalentLive Nation Denver) in addition to brothers Mike and Dan Flaherty[4] of United Commercial Realty,[5] started Gas Monkey Live at the location where the formerToby Keith's I Love This Bar & Grill was established[6] in Northwest Dallas.[1] With a footprint of 3,500 m2 (38,000 sq ft),[7][8] the facility is used predominantly for live music and can hold up to 3000 people.[1] Americanpunk rock bandSocial Distortion[9] performed at the location on opening day.[4]
Midway through their "All Bad Things Must End" tour,[10] American rock bandMötley Crüe started in November by working withDodge[11] for a free show[12] named "Dodge Rocks Gas Monkey",[13] which was restricted to only owners of DodgeCharger,[14]Challenger[15] andViper vehicles.[16] At the performance, Dodge presented the 2015Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat as well as the 2015Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat.[17][18]
In May 2020, the venue closed.[2]
