TheGangani (Γαγγανοι) were a people of ancientIreland who are referred to inPtolemy's 2nd-centuryGeography as living in the south-west of the island, probably near the mouth of theRiver Shannon, between theAuteini to the north and theUellabori to the south.[1][2] There appears to have been a people of the same name in north-westWales, as Ptolemy calls theLlŷn Peninsula the "promontory of the Gangani" (Γαγγανὤν ἄκρον).[3][4]
