Galin Ivanov (Bulgarian:Галин Иванов; born 15 April 1988) is a Bulgarian professionalfootballer, who plays as anattacking midfielder forSeptemvri Sofia.
His former clubs includeBeroe Stara Zagora,Slavia Sofia,Levski Sofia andArminia Bielefeld.[1][2]
In June 2014, Ivanov signed forAzerbaijan Premier League sideFK Khazar Lankaran.[3] In February 2015, he became part of theSamsunspor team inTurkey on a one-and-a-half-year contract.[4]
In September 2016, Ivanov joinedLevski Sofia, signing a short-term contract[5] which was not renewed.[6]
On 12 February 2017, Ivanov signed withNeftochimic Burgas.[7]
On 18 August 2017, Ivanov returned toSlavia Sofia, signing a short-term contract.[8]
After spending two years withCSKA 1948, he once again returned to Slavia Sofia in the summer of 2022.[9] In January 2025, Ivanov joinedSeptemvri Sofia on a one-and-a-half year contract.[10]
Ivanov earned his first cap for thesenior national football team of his country on 3 June 2016, after coming on as a second-half substitute forMihail Aleksandrov in the 2:7 loss againstJapan in a semi-final of the 2016Kirin Cup.[11]
