Gabrielle Demange

French economist

Gabrielle Demange is a Frencheconomist and currently aprofessor at theParis School of Economics. She is on the council of theEconometric Society[1] and a fellow on theCEPR.[2]

She was the co-editor ofEconomic Theory from 1998 to 2004 and an associate editor of the Review of Economic Design.[3] She is an honorary international member of theAmerican Academy of Arts and Science.[4] She has been elected as the president of the Game Theory Society, 2024–2026.

Education and career

She obtained her PhD from the university ofParis IX in 1986. She started her career at theEcole Polytechnique from 1986 to 1999. She then moved to Paris XIII to become a professor in 1988. She is currently an associate Chair Paris School of Economics and a director of studies at theEHESS.[5]

She won theCNRS silver medal in 2015.[6]

Research and publications

Her has published papers inEconometrica,[7] theJournal of Political Economy[8] andManagement Science.[9] Her research mainly focuses ongame theory,network theory andfinancial markets.

Her research has been published inScience Magazine,[10]Le Monde[11] andthe Conversation.[12]
