G-protein coupled receptor 161 is aprotein that in humans is encoded by theGPR161gene.[5][6] It is located onprimary cilia and regulates embryonic development through suppression of thehedgehog signaling pathway. It appears to act as amechanoreceptor and may not require an endogenous ligand for activation.[7][8][9][10]
