Furniture Today is a weekly American magazine about thefurniture industry.[1] It is part of theGannett media holding company.
Furniture Today was started in 1976.[2] In March 2010 it was acquired by Sandow Media fromReed Business Information.[2] Its offices are inGreensboro, North Carolina.[3] In 2013, the magazine was sold to Progressive Business Media,[4] which is a daughter company of FT Media Holdings. In 2018, Progressive was acquired by BridgeTower Media.[5]
In 2006, it had a circulation of 20,682. The 2006Marketers Resource Guide wrote that the magazine, then owned byReed Business Information, "remains a powerful force in the furniture manufacturing industry."[6]
In 2013, the publication was bought byGreensboro, North Carolina–based Progressive Business Media.[7] In November 2018, Progressive Business Media was sold toMinneapolis, Minnesota–based BridgeTower Media, itself part ofGateHouse Media, which itself was later merged and rebranded as part of theGannett media holding company.[7][8]
