Fulvetta is agenus ofpasserine birds. Originally proposed in 1877, it was recently reestablished for thetypical fulvettas, which were long included with their presumed relatives in theTimaliidae (Old World babbler) genusAlcippe.[1] But they are actually quite closely related to theparrotbills, and are thus now placed in thefamilyParadoxornithidae.
