TheFrench Belgian Sign Language (French:Langue des signes de Belgique francophone;LSFB) is thedeaf sign language of theFrench language Community ofBelgium, a country in Western Europe. It andFlemish Sign Language are very closely related (and distantly if at all related toFrench Sign Language), but generally regarded today as distinct languages.[2]
Bydecree of 22 October 2003, theParliament of the French Communityrecognised the Sign Language of French-speaking Belgium.[3]
