Freginals (Catalan pronunciation:[freʒiˈnals]) is amunicipality in thecomarca ofMontsià inCatalonia, Spain.
This town is located on a hill between the northern end of theSerra de Godall and theSerra del Montsià, not far from the forking of the roads betweenTortosa,Ulldecona andAmposta. The area around the town has ancient passages oftranshumant cattle herders known locally aslligallos.
TheRENFE railway line fromValencia toTortosa used to have a railway station in this town before 1990, but the station is now closed.[4]
Freginals is part of theTaula del Sénia free association of municipalities.
